I picked my VW R Golf Estate up today from your dealership, I just wanted to say how impressed I was with the whole experience from start to finish, from the first meeting with Matt to the handover with Wesley, it was a pleasure to buy a car from you at a very competitive price, no fuss, no pressure, everything went very smoothly, I, with this purchase have had 88 cars, the last 10 or so have been BMW’s - so it was nice to be treated so well, BMW dealerships could learn a lot from you!
Wesley gave me one of the most comprehensive handovers I have ever had and ensured it was an enjoyable experience, so special mention to him and not forgetting Matt.

I wanted to write to say how pleased I was with the service I received from Tyrena Swann when I organised a lease of VW UP from yourselves. In an age when everyone seems too quick to criticise I thought it would be nice to read some praise. Throughout the process Tyrena was very professional, efficient and pleasant. When it looked like there may be a hiccup just before I was due to collect the car she sorted the issue without fuss and kept me informed of the progress. Even though I have leased a relatively modest vehicle I was made to feel as if my custom was as important as if I were leasing a larger fleet. Dear Mr Prince,
I am not normally one for writing letters such as these, or indeed for filling in customer surveys- far from it- but I felt that I had to bring it to your attention the excellence of one of your members of staff, service advisor Jaina Vedd.
I brought my Mazda 6 in for a service and MOT last Friday. I have been a regular customer at the Clarence Street dealership (under its various guises) since 1993, buying several Mazdas from there and also having them annually serviced.
To be honest, there have been a number of occasions over those 20 years or so when the standard of service I have received from the dealerships personnel has been disappointing, to say the least. Last week, however, was very different.
Jaina, who told me she is new to the dealership, could not have made me feel more welcome. She was confident and courteous, extremely efficient and, above all, kind and helpful beyond the call of duty. Liberally dishing out praise is not a habit of mine, but I like to give credit where credit is due, and in the short time that I dealt with her Jaina struck me as quite the model employee.
She certainly brightened up my day, and I hope that the sentiments in this letter- which I trust you will pass on to her- will serve to brighten up hers.
I'm not in the habit of writing notes of thank you - unfortunately I can't find the time to do so. However, you and the Arthur Prince team deserve to be an exception.
You are a fantastic ambassador for the business. From the moment you took my initial enquiry by phone late one Friday evening to waving me off on Monday you have been helpful, courteous, friendly, responsive, fair and open. I was staggered when you mentioned that you only rejoined the team in December - I got the impression you'd been in the business for ages
You have saved me time. I run a business that employs sixty people and time is precious. I don't have spare time to visit car showrooms or negotiate with car sales people. You have quickly and efficiently dealt with my requirements without making me go through the normal rigmarole that many in the trade insist on following.
Any small requests I had you attended too without issue - including the last minute request to have the Arthur Prince badge removed from the back of the car - for no reason other than I like minimal design.
The whole thing was a great experience and confirms why independents offer such a great opportunity to the groups. In my professional capacity I've conducted a significant amount of research into the needs/expectations/preferences of people buying cars and can assure you that you are very much in tune with the modern customer. Which is no doubt one of the main reasons why January has been so busy for a business that has been around for ninety years.
This is just a short note to express our thanks to everyone at Arthur Prince Ltd, who helped to make our recent car purchase such a pleasant experience.
Why would we say that? Could it be the prices offered were very competitive or that the dealership was very professional in all aspects of the transaction or perhaps dealing with a family run business where the ethos that clearly percolates down brings a refreshing change from the large PLC dealer groups that can be so impersonal. Well it was all of these and in our opinion there was only one drawback and that was the fact that, based on our experience, the best Volkswagon dealership in the UK is 300 miles from my house. However, we believe that for the type of service that we received it was worth every mile.

As for us, we haven’t stopped smiling since we picked up our new car. It is everything we had thought it would be and so much more. It was a little bit scary with the adaptive cruise control initially but that was soon overcome and now is an is an absolute delight.

We stayed with relations in Leicester over the Christmas holiday, but when we tried to leave on 27th December we found that the electric parking brake on our car (Passat) had seized on. Considering the problems revealed, the repair was completed in very short time and we came away very impressed with the service we had received. We would like to express our gratitude to your Service Department staff for their efforts, but particularly to Mr Chaz Beale whom we mainly dealt with for his unfailing cheerfulness and helpfulness.
It is a shame we do not live nearer to Loughborough or we would certainly have become your customers.

I have been delighted with every aspect of my contact with this dealership and felt that I would like this to be passed to your staff. Everyone with whom I have come into contact with has been thoroughly pleasant and efficient, with the entire process a pleasure. A further point, which impressed me, was that on both occasions my car was cleaned before being returned to me, something, which I had not experienced with any previous maintenance work, carried out at another dealership.
